Martin Jones

Regional Trust Lead

I have worked in education for over 20 years and have been fortunate to serve in a wide range of roles throughout my career, most recently as Executive Headteacher leading three of the highest-performing schools in the country. These experiences have shaped my passion for school improvement, curriculum development, safeguarding and governance, and have reinforced my belief that every child deserves an exceptional education and the opportunity to flourish.

I joined the Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust central team in September 2026 and now have the privilege of working alongside schools across Sutton, Merton and parts of Croydon, supporting leaders, staff and governors in delivering the very best outcomes for children and young people. Every day, I am inspired by the dedication of our staff and the potential of the children and young people we serve.
Part of my role working at the trust is coordinating the Trust Student Council, ensuring that pupil voice helps shape our Trust's future. I also work closely with colleagues to strengthen Catholic formation across our schools, supporting our shared mission and ensuring that our values remain at the heart of everything we do.

I am passionate about creating cultures where children thrive academically, socially and spiritually, and where staff are empowered to develop, lead and excel. I firmly believe that the success of our schools is built on strong relationships, high expectations and an unwavering commitment to serving others.
Beyond my Trust responsibilities, I am a Trustee of Sutton Music Trust and sit on their advisory board. Music education is something I care deeply about, and I am committed to ensuring that young people have access to rich and meaningful opportunities in the arts.
